Engineering Functional Colloidal Particles
30/04/2008 - 30/04/2008
This meeting will be of interest to scientists and engineers who are involved in the investigation, manufacture and application of functional particulates to enhance the quality of such as food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, personal and household care and agrochemical products. The theme of the meeting is engineering functional particles (liquid droplets, nano/microcapsules, nanofluids and nanoparticles) through the incorporation of emulsion, micelles, and other colloids to achieve precisely controlled product manufacture. Scalable and reproducible processing technologies will be of most interest. This meeting will provide a platform to share ideas and experiences in engineering functional particles, promoting the knowledge transfer for industrial application and raising problems to solve.
The meeting is organised by Professors R. A. Williams,
S. Biggs and Dr Q. Yuan of the University of Leeds, and
Professor I. Norton of the University of Birmingham.
